Since 1999 Green Valley Farm Supply, Inc. has made a commitment to provide superior and consistent customer service to the agricultural industry while maintaining competitive pricing and building lasting relationships. Our challenge was to position the organization to reflect its values online. There web site was ten years old and had long out lived it’s life. With the initial market research and two photo-shoots the site was pulled together. Casella Creative designed a clean professional country feel website while increasing brand authenticity. There’s been quite a bit of heated discussion in the design world in the past few years regarding speculative work and crowdsourcing via online logo design sites and contests. Professional designers are calling foul over the degradation of the traditional designer/client relationship and the threat of losing potential work from design contests that reward the few, and take advantage of the many. Contest organizers maintain that crowdsourcing design promotes a free and global market and they’re simply facilitating communication between clients and potential designers while building an online creative community.

Trade Advertisement for Beer Optics

This was an advertisement created for the 2011 Nascar program. This project exemplifies the nimbleness of Casella Creative. The client came to us with a short deadline and no content. Monterey Promotional Calendar

2009 Monterey Photography Calendar

My 2009 “A Day In Monterey County,” calendars have just arrived  from Casey Printing. Once again Casella Creative and Casey Printing collaborated to create one of Monterey’s coolest calendars.  The concept behind the project was to traverse across the county  photographing from sunrise to sunset. The landscape photos range from lesser known spots like the beautiful foothills of Greenfield to the grand vistas of the coast. We wish to show the diversity and splendor of one of California’s most magnificent counties by using design, photography and high-end production. Beside photos, what makes this calendar unique is it’s small footprint, easy to read and printed on recycled paper. The web site was also revamped www.adayinmontereyco.com , which documents  my trip on google maps.

Marina Health Care Rebrand

Access IV is a pharmacy & nutrition service located in Marina CA. They hired Casella Creative to update their logo and web site.  The owners didn’t want to stray too far from the original logo because they already had strong brand recognition. A major problem with the old logo was the IV was mistaken for a roman numeral 4. When the type was placed in all caps the periods had to be used which added an extra element. Using a bold lower-case type solved both issues and allowed this mark more approachability and strength. Casella Creative used a classic typeface (Scala) to add a timelessness to the mark. Download Pop-up Die-Cut Template

Salinas, CA. | Due to the number of hits on my POP-UP CARD design for non-profits, I thought I’d share the die-cut template. A pop-up card is a simple cost effective way to create a card that makes a lasting impression. The file has the score and die lines on different layers. The pop-up piece doesn’t have to be a circle, it could be almost any shape just as long as it fits in the perimeter of the card. The template was supplied by Casella Creative , a Salinas design firm.
